Thomas Bryant joins Lakers as a big man

Lakers Sign-Center Thomas Bryant to 1-Year Deal

The Lakers search for a player who can compete to be the center of the team this year.

Sources tell The Times that Thomas Bryant, the Lakers' center, is being added free of cost to them.

Bryant, 24 years old, spent his first season with the team following being selected second in the 2017 NBA draft.

Five days into July and the NBA free agent marketplace has gotten quiet. However, that has not stopped the Los Angeles Lakers' from adding to their roster.

Walker's signing was a gutsy move. He agreed to sign for L.A. taxpayer mid-level exception worth over $6 million, despite being an inept 3-point shooter as well as defender.

Bryant can shoot from three-point distance, adding another level of depth to the central position

Bryant was released in 2018, and he was signed the Wizards. Bryant then spent the next four campaigns with the Wizards.
